Lab 6 NetInstall in MikroTik

• THE PURPOSE

- To know how to configure netinstall on RouterBoard

- To know what is the meaning of netinstall

• BASIC CONCEPTS

Netinstall is a program that runs on a Windows computer that allows you to install the MikroTik RouterOS to PC or RouterBoard via Ethernet network. Netinstall also be used to re-install RouterOS in cases where the previous installation failed, became damaged or lost access password

• CONFIGURATIONS

The first open netinstall in run as administrator

browse the file to be used for netinstall, usually the file .npk

click netbooting and enter the ip to the netinstall. Do not the same with that in the computer ip,click ok

enter into system-routerboard

select a settings

select the boot device and then select the try-ethernet-once-then-nand

if it is, reboot your routerboard

If it is, move the cable from port 2 to port PoE

Go back into the application netinstall if successful then the RB has status ready,then click install

wait for install

if it routerboard will automatically restart
